The Filmjoint is Africa's leading platform dedicated to promoting and marketing quality short films from around the world. We are a fast-growing creative platform focused on building a structured and commercially viable ecosystem for short films. Through our integrated programs; screenings, awards, distribution support, capacity-building initiatives, and industry programs, Filmjoint provides access, visibility, commercial pathways and meaningful opportunities for emerging and young filmmakers in Nigeria and beyond.
Our work is focused on expanding creative infrastructure and strengthening the economic value of short films as a viable and integral part of the African film industry. We host two flagship programs annually:
The Filmjoint Premieres: showcases unreleased short films in a grand live-audience format, accompanied by panel sessions with cast and crew. These films are screened, critically judged by senior industry professionals, and subsequently distributed to interested VOD platforms for broader exposure and monetization.
The Filmjoint Awards (TFA): an annual merit-based award celebrating excellence in short filmmaking globally, promoting the significant value that short films bring to the world of cinema. Achieving this award involves multiple stages and includes both a hybrid voting and decisions from our esteemed panel of Judges.
