The Filmjoint Premieres

ELIGIBILITY
  1. ​Short films that are yet to be released or screened on any platform.
  2. Short films must be between 5mins to 30mins with complete screen credits.
  3. Short films must have adequate English subtitles if released in a language other than English.
  4. Resolution - 1080p, Aspect Ratio - 16:9, Codec - H264, Audio Channel - Stereo, Sample Rate - 48khz
  5. All Music/Sound used must be original or copyright-free.
NOTE: Short Films that are selected would have to be resubmitted in DCP format;

SELECTION PROCESS
First Stage
Selection of the first entry by The FilmJoint's Panel of Screeners, out of which Ten (10) short films would be selected.
Second Stage
The selected Short Films are critically judged by an independent jury, composed of notable industry professionals from different countries. They will select five (5) out of the ten (10) short films that will make it to the premiere.​ 
What we are looking out for in a film
A short film that would be selected to be on The Filmjoint Premieres must have an exceptional storytelling style that captures the viewer's attention and immerses them in the story. Importantly, these films must have excellent picture quality, sound design, visual effects, and editing. They must also have a global message.
DISTRIBUTION
To secure a distribution opportunity with The Filmjoint, your film must receive a nomination or must have been shown at either The Filmjoint Premieres or The Filmjoint Awards. While not all distribution opportunities are focused on revenue, filmmakers enjoy the unique privilege of showcasing their films to a broader audience. This exposure not only grants increased visibility but also enhances recognition for the filmmakers.
